It is important to select the right page category but also important NOT to select the Community/Charity category as yes Facbeook can take ownership back or issue this to the registered charity owner when the numbers get large. I instruct clients to avoid these categories alltogether.

Hi Zoe,

This information should be very valuable to many entrepreneurs that use Facebook. I made the same mistake, then set up a fan page. I remember when I set up my fan page, that I was told it was important to pick the right category, or your fan page may get shutdown at 10,000 likes if you set it up wrong.

Thanks Max

I agree it can be juggle with so many social media profiles to manage and definitely recommend you get a strategy to post on multiple account incorporating an integration tool. My favourite is Hootsuite - I explian how to use it here:
http://markandzoe.com/social-media-marketing-integration-how-to-distribute-content-across-multiple-social-media-networks/

You can sign up for Hootsuite at: http://budurl.com/GetHootsuite

Give me a shout out @zdeluca on twitte when you get it set up ;-)

Great, post. Yes, definitely a Page is the way to go, but man, now I have to maintain:
* Our Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/siliconpublishing
* Our Web site http://www.siliconpublishing.com
* Our Twitter http://twitter.com/#!/SiliconP
* Our LinkedIn http://www.linkedin.com/company/1119474
* Our Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Silicon-Publishing/193082027368868
* Our Blog.... http://blog.siliconpublishing.com

All of the above are "starter level" hacks, yet we have already seen leads flowing in.

I am trying to figure out cross-media content so that it is somewhat single-sourced for the content, yet each output is unique. I see LinkedIn evolving their company site features, and there is so much to dive into with Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook. I look forward to looking at your other posts.

Hi - it could be your internet browser that is causing the problem here. We have had reports of video not playing correctly in Internet Explorer, but fine when using Firefox. I will update a new version soon to work around this but suggest you try a different browser for viewing in the interim.

Thanks - Zoe

Hi Desley - it appears there is trouble viewing the video in Internet Explorer. Are you using IE or another internet browser? It is opening fine for me in Firefox. It does take a while to load as it's a large file.

Cheers - Zoe
